Run 780: Hares Dyke Converter & Bald Dick

The group of five, Liberace, Dog Sh*t, Anal Virgin, Fag & Grease Gorilla set off from the A spot in to the unknown areas of Chiang Rai. The very start of the run was a circle check which took some time to find paper and get going. The run was a long 9 km which took the hashers up hills, through streams, around lakes and past stinking pig farms. The front group came in at just over 1 hour 20 mins. In the circle it was revealed that Bald Dick became hopelessly lost whilst setting the run. Dyke Converter set out to find him but then found himself in trouble also by nearly plummeting to his death over a 40 meter cliff in his truck. As usual lots of beer was consumed in the circle. The GM Fag took the most of the punishment because of forgetting to bring along the hash awards. He was then made to wear a dress which was taken from Fags own collection that he had brought along with him. Anal Virgin was awarded the wings. After the circle we all went for a good meal then in to town to check out the night life in Chiang Rai.


Run 781: Hangover run live hared by Liberace

Liberace set off with a 5 minute head start. The group set off at a fast pace with a determination to catch Liberace as he has never been caught in 27 years. After 20 minutes we arrived at the end of the run to find Liberace leaning against his truck. The look on his face suggested we had not been far behind him. The circle was short but fun and again Fag was punished the most. Bald Dick was given the job of hash splash. Dyke Converter was awarded the wings. In all it was a very good outstation with lots of fun and lots and lots of beer.

It is going to be at the beautiful Huey Tung Tao Lake. Just follow canal road north and look for HHH signs on the left and make the turn towards the lake. Should be a great run as the Butt Man is hare!

Hash Trash - CUMH3 - October 7, 2008

This Tuesday's 7 October Hash Courtesy of Fag was a REAL DEAL CUMH3 ! About 13 runners, small but fun group and "Loves that Sh*t" graciously attended the "CUM" for the first time...

It was a very VERY tough trail. At the back end of the Agro Center inside the National Park. We first meandered through the valley a bit and then slowly but very certain went straight up a f*cking mountain. I stopped sometimes to hear God whisper in my ear: "Dykie, this time I am coming to get ya"! But he didn't... The Hare THOUGHT that once we hit the mountain, the trail was very nice. Don't know what kind of memory he has, but there was a second and third mountain after that. Nuff said! We all nearly died and first FRB in (just before dark) was after 1 hour 15. We thought he'd redeem himself with good grub, but alas...he brought local food and Busbitch, for one, wasn't happy! We had a good circle and punished the Hare thoroughly and then visited some Holy places in town for prayer... "Thou Lager...which areth in barrels, thou shall make us pissed, here as it is in the Heavens...etc etc..." Good one FAG, thanks! ONON! DC

CUMH3 this Tuesday is in the Agricultural Center off Canal road (The bunch of white buildings there) go inside there follow to the back end (South West) where the gate is to the National Park. Follow HHH signs. Run at 5 pick up at No.1 at 4. Great run, great fun! ON ON!

Run 779

Hares Dog Sh_t & Jungle Chim

The location of the run was behind the forest fire station on canal road. The group including Claus Barber who has retired from being a slug set of to find the first circle check. At the check paper was found to the left and on on was called. Next was a series of v checks, three right after one another. This kept the group together. At the next circle check hashers were checking in all directions, Dyke Converter was calling checking but the only thing he seemed to be checking was something in his shorts, paper was found straight ahead. On deeper in to the forest they went passing lots of nice trails but having to follow the paper into overgrown paths and shiggy pits. Why the hares avoided the nice trails nobody knows. After crossing a water fall and a steep gully the group ended up in deep forest and with the failing light paper became very hard to find but they made it out alive. On the last stage of the run everyone seemed to be walking in circles as there was paper all over, the hares had not cleared up their mistakes. Eventually the correct trail was found and the group found the on in after a 6.5km 50 minute run.

In the circle the hares were punished for their incompetence. Bus Bitch who finally ran in his new shoes that were bought for him by the CH3 Hash had them christened with beer and mud. Dog Sh_t and Butt Filler almost went to war but in the end no blood was spilled. Claus Barber was awarded with the wings.

CH3 Males ONLY Post Lube Indochina - October 27

On the Monday after the Indochina event CH3 will be hosting a Post Lube for males only figuring that some people will want to take a rest right after IndoChina but some males would like to party with the Male Hashers and be shown around the towns "temples" afterwords. It will be a special event with entertainment and food ON the run as is tradition. Run fee is 700 B including food and a special Male Hash CH3 T shirt. CH3 is the oldest hash in Chiang Mai, started in 1981. Bus leaves from No. 1 bar off Loy Khro road (look it up it's the best pub in town!) at 15.00 register early if you want the special T shirt! ONON!!! Graven Image and Square Rooter, two great Hares have agreed to set this run!

Chiang Rai Outstation - September 27 and 28

We are going to the outstation in Chiang Rai. It will be Saturday and Sunday September 27 & 28. It is going to be set by Dyke Converter and Bald Dick with a special guest appearance on Sunday with a live hare. This live hare has never been caught before (so he says) and just to up the ante I am going to give a prize to any hasher who can manage to catch him.

There will be a group that will leave from the Number 1 Bar at 11:30am on Saturday morning and drive up to CR. If you need a ride, we need to know so it can be organized. The run fees for the whole weekend will be 400 baht. We will make it back in time on Sunday to make the Happy Hash and if anyone is interested I can set another CH3 run on Monday.

Chiang Mai: The Hash Capital of Northern Thailand

I can’t begin to tell how lucky I always feel to be hashing in Chiang Mai. We have the ultimate challenging terrain as well as everything else a hasher can wish for. Mind you, there are still some hares who occasionally manage to mess it all up, even in these conditions! But we have so much to offer: meandering thru fields, balancing on dykes in rice paddies, or negotiating your way on jungle trails, it’s all here. Besides that the hash community here is quite friendly and camaraderie is still what’s it all about. Besides BEER that is…

In fact we have 5 hashes in this second largest city of Thailand. The original Chiang Mai H3, founded in 1981, is a male only hash. The Chiang Mai Saturday H3 is a mixed hash running on...you guessed it....Saturday. The Chang Mai Happy H4 a now mixed Sunday hash. And for those male and female bonders, the CUMH3 (nearly 10 years now) is a male only Tuesday hash, and the All Naked Chiang Mai Bunny Hash, founded by our dear friend Snowflake, runs once a month.

We are pretty nice to visitors and always try to involve everyone in the circle. Yes, there is ice in the circle of every hash and yes, there will be more than enough abuse.

We shall be best remembered for the Indochina event we organized in 2002, which was one great party, from day 1 to day 3 and all were pretty happy. I guess that’s why they gave Chiang Mai Inter hash 2006 as there was a lot of good-will from that Indochina run… Man, what a party that was! We even had a separate stage with a dentist chair on which the victims were handcuffed and administered tequila shots by bad nurses…

All in all, Chiang Mai is great hashing, great fun and if you want to get away from it all there’s lots to do.

Right after this year’s Indochina event in Suhothai we will host two great parties: We will have post lubes on the Monday and on the Tuesday right after Indochina. For those who used to know about the hash pub as pick up point this has changed for most hashes in Chiang Mai CH3, CUMH3 and the CH4 all pick up at No.1 bar nowadays (Loy Khroh soi 1 but any taxi will know). Only CSH3 still picks up at hash pub. Hence the post lube’s pick up for the Monday CH3 oldest hash (Males only) is at No.1 bar at 15.00 there is also a mixed run for that day planned. On the Tuesday there’s a large mixed event with the Happy Hash (CH4) which also picks up at No. 1 bar at 15.00. SO: A males only on the Monday or a mixed and then a Mixed on the Tuesday. Come on by we will make you feel welcome…and icy… Lots of beer lots of fun and the Chiang Mai “Willy” will attend.

The Number One Bar on Loi Kroh Rd is the Pickup Point

If you want to run with us just keep this page bookmarked. I will keep it updated with the weekly run site locations.

We always get picked up at the Number One Bar and Bistro on Loi Kroh road. Pickup time is at 16:00 (4:00pm) and the run starts at 17:00 (5:00pm). Pickup is always free and the red bus will bring you directly to the run site.

Run fees for the CH3 are 250 baht for members and 300 baht for non members. Membership is quarterly and the 1st quarter fees are 400 baht, 2nd quarter 300, 3rd quarter 200 baht, 4th quarter 100 baht.

Run fees for the CUMH3 are based upon the cost of beer and food for the night. It usually ranges between 200-300 baht for an average run.

Beer is always as much as you can drink; no limit there!
